Responsibilities
The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing both the facilities equipment and standard manufacturing equipment used in the operations of the facility
They work with various tools and perform tasks generated from work requests as well as preventative maintenance, always complying with safety standards
Engaged in repairing a variety of plant production equipment primarily involved in metal working, assembly, and related functions such as welding, brazing, cleaning, and other mechanical processes
Must diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs, tear down and reassemble machines
Order and stock required spare parts for equipment and facility; specify equipment and tooling for purchase
Maintains work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition
Maintains heating, cooling, and sprinkler systems inside and outside the facility
Duties include cleaning machines and equipment; painting equipment and building areas; operation of lift trucks and tractors; removal of snow and assisting in all areas of maintenance
Meet schedules and maintain systems for preventative maintenance and gage calibration
Coordinate all facility maintenance operations inside and outside of the plant; correct or arrange to have corrected conditions that might adversely affect the facilities and equipment or safety and health of employees
Conduct facility inspections and report major discrepancies to the supervisor
Develop and implement changes to improve safety, costs, quality, and operating efficiency
Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations
Maintain necessary records and reports and communicate effectively at all levels
Keep current on developments in related maintenance/manufacturing fields; participate in company-sponsored development activities
Operations Level - All aspects of hazardous waste management up to and including; inspection, reviewing MSDS, cleaning equipment, to respond in a defensive fashion without trying to stop the release
Responsible to contain the release of chemicals from a safe distance, keep it from spreading, and protect exposures

Education Required
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Requires HS diploma and a background in maintenance, tooling, testing, technical skills and or product specific knowledge. Trade school courses are preferred.
Experience Required
• 3+ years maintenance experience within a machine shop or manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge, education, or experience in the following areas preferrable.
• Basic single phase electrical, (three phase is a plus)
• Mechanical systems
• Hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Plumbing
• Carpentry
Experience Preferred
• Electrical wiring and PLC experience in a manufacturing environment
• CNC machining and equipment experience

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 41,200.00 - 76,400.00
