Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician at Courtyard Ranchi in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, your primary responsibility will be to fix minor plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots and faucets. You will also be tasked with performing miscellaneous minor repairs like tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by cleaning and lubricating them.
Your role will involve adhering to all company policies and safety procedures and reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries as necessary. You must ensure that your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests" service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities will also be part of your duties.
Furthermore, you will need to communicate effectively with others using clear and professional language, develop and maintain positive working relationships, and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. You should be able to meet quality expectations and standards, perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and lifting objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Occasionally, you may need to assist with moving heavier objects weighing over 100 pounds and navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders.
The preferred qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, with no related work experience or supervisory experience required. A license or certification is also not necessary for this role.
