Job Title: Maintenance Lead Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

What will yo
u do:
The role of maintenance lead engineer is critical to the business supporting the achievement of Business
goals.
Within the role, you will manage a small Engineering function supporting operations by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability, business objectives and productivity targets are main
tained.
The role of the maintenance lead engineer is to effectively maintain all process and auxiliary equipment across the facility with an aim to improve up time while reducin
g costs.
The role will involve the reporting and recording of maintenance and repair details for all work activities, using the appropriate maintenance management and IT
systems.
What wil
l you need:
To be considered for this position you must be qualified at a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade ideally obtained through a recognised craft or modern apprentice
ship scheme.
The position also requires a competent Leader / engineer with experience in Service Centre or manufacturing activities. Demonstrable experience of Line management, relevant engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, dealing with contractors a
nd suppliers.
The ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales
is essential.
You will need to demonstrate a sound electrical background and proven track record. The successful candidate will operate as part of a small team and should be fully conversant with current health & safe
ty regulations.
Ideally you will have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy engineering / industrial environment, essential to the role is the ability to adapt to new equipment. You must be flexible, have a desire to le
arn and develop.
