We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Maintenance to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 375 Industrial Road in Watsonville; limited job-related travel may be required.
Position Summary:
Green Waste is seeking to fill the position of Maintenance to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s main function will perform routine and extensive grounds keeping and building maintenance duties and upkeep with the facility/yard.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Clean the yard (i.e., pull weeds around the property, pick up trash, sweep, mow lawn)
• Wash equipment/vehicles/bins/carts
• Maintain Oil Waste Station
• Maintain Wash Stations
• Pick up parts from vendors/part stores
• Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
• Valid CDL License (Class
C)
Skill:
• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
Physical Demands:
• Frequently required to walk
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to stand; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Work Environment:
Typical work week is Monday through Friday with weekends if necessary. Position also requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in a setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, based on the operational needs for the day and/or week.
Compensation and Benefits:
Financial compensation will be commensurate with applicable experience. Green Waste offers a competitive benefits package, including paid time off, holiday pay, 401K benefits, FSA, and full employee coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
