Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Head
Shift: Day / Rotational Shifts (if applicable)
Job Purpose:
To ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment and systems by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. Responsible for minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous production.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
• Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on machines, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, and other equipment.
• Replace worn-out parts, bearings, seals, belts, and other mechanical components.
2. Equipment Monitoring & Reliability
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures through vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive tools.
• Maintain a log of equipment history, failures, and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
3. Installation & Commissioning
• Support installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machines and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards during installation.
4. Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain proper maintenance records, checklists, and reports as per ISO/TS standards.
• Follow safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
5. Spares & Inventory Management
• Identify and raise requirements for spare parts.
• Work closely with the stores team to maintain optimal spare parts inventory.
6. Coordination & Support
• Collaborate with production, electrical, and instrumentation teams for quick issue resolution.
• Provide technical support during plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
