About the Role:
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for maintaining the health unit’s facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment. The role involves carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks across both interior and exterior areas, including rubbish collection, carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor mechanical work, and grounds maintenance.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Criteria:
Demonstrated experience in building and grounds maintenance.
Ability to safely use a wide range of hand and power tools.
Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently, use initiative and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
Knowledge of safe work practices and commitment to workplace safety and customer service.
Desired Criteria:
Successful completion of Year 11 or equivalent.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Current Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain.
Demonstrated manual handling skills.
