About the Role
At Possum Bourne Retirement Village in Pukekohe, Auckland we have an exciting opportunity to join our experienced team as a Maintenance Person. This is a Full time position working Monday to Thursday 0800 - 1630.
In this role you will:
Work in a team providing the village with an effective maintenance/preventative maintenance service ensuring the safety, repair and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds
Assist residents in their homes with repairs and maintenance
Ensure that all health and safety policies are adhered to, to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors
Work closely with and support your colleagues
About You
To thrive in our varied environment you will have:
Previous experience in a Maintenance role, a trade qualification or just completed an apprenticeship
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude
Proven customer service skills and ability to build rapport with residents
Outstanding communication skills
The ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as required
Reliable, friendly and professional manner
