Job Description
Responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, programming support, and continuous improvement of industrial robotic systems used in manufacturing operations. The role requires hands-on experience with robots such as Yaskawa Electric Corporation robots, GD180 robots, FANUC Corporation robots, and KUKA AG robots.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of robotic cells.
• Diagnose and repair robot faults, servo alarms, encoder issues, and communication failures.
• Troubleshoot robot controllers, teach pendants, drives, motors, and safety circuits.
• Minimize downtime through quick fault identification and corrective action.
Robot Programming & Operation
• Modify and optimize robot programs as required.
• Perform robot mastering, calibration, and TCP setup.
• Teach new robot positions and adjust robot paths.
• Support production during model changes and line modifications.
Electrical & Automation Support
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, sensors, actuators, and industrial networks.
• Monitor robot I/O communication with automation systems.
• Support integration of robots with conveyors, welding stations, and material-handling equipment.
Preventive Maintenance
• Develop and execute PM schedules.
• Check robot lubrication, gearboxes, cables, dress packs, and safety devices.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for critical robot components.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with robotic safety standards.
• Verify operation of safety interlocks, light curtains, emergency stops, and fencing.
• Participate in risk assessments and safety audits.
Documentation
• Maintain maintenance records and breakdown reports.
• Prepare root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action reports.
• Update electrical drawings and maintenance procedures.
