Job Summary:
We are seeking applicants for a Maintenance Roofer/Labourer for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential construction roofing projects located on Vancouver Island. We offer competitive wages and comprehensive benefits packages.
Responsibilities:
· Perform roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance on residential and commercial properties.
· Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
· Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
· Assist in the caulking of seams and joints to ensure waterproofing.
· Engage in heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
· Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
· Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in roofing or related fields an asset
· Valid BC driver’s license
· Ability to read blueprints accurately considered an asset
· Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
· Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday
· Experience as a maintenance person or carpenter an asset
· Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
· Commitment to safety practices on the job site
· Completion of secondary school / GED equivalent
· Able to pass reliability clearance
· Able to commute or willing to relocate (compensation considered)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.50-$48.00 per hour
