Role Description
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Store Operator to join our team!
Job Purpose:
To ensure efficient management and maintenance of the maintenance store, including receiving, storing, and issuing spare parts and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory management and control
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing spare parts and materials
- Issuing materials based on authorized requisitions
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Ensuring a clean and organized store environment
- Adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards
Responsibilities in Details
- Receive and inspect incoming spare parts and materials
- Label and tag items with appropriate codes and quantities
- Store items in designated locations, following FIFO principles
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels in SAP
- Process material requests accurately and efficiently
- Ensure proper documentation for all issued and returned items
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
- B-Com/Diploma with 2-3 years experience in maintenance store function
- Prior experience in warehouse or store operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems (e.g., SAP)
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
