We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations of our distribution warehouse specializing in HVAC inventory. This facility includes advanced storage technologies such as the AutoStore automation system, conventional racking, and a range of material handling equipment. The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring optimal operational uptime, safety compliance, and long-term asset integrity.

What you will do:
Maintenance Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement a proactive maintenance schedule (PMs) for all warehouse systems, including AutoStore robots, conveyors, HVAC systems, racking, dock doors, material handling equipment, lighting, and sanitation systems.
Manage unscheduled repairs, breakdown response, and root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, schedule, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and janitorial/facility support staff.
Provide training and ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures.
Automation System Oversight
Act as the primary contact for the maintenance and performance of the AutoStore system, working closely with vendor support teams to ensure consistent uptime and rapid issue resolution.
Monitor system performance KPIs and implement improvements in coordination with IT and operations teams.
Facility Management
Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the warehouse facility, including floors, lighting, fire suppression systems, and exterior grounds.
Coordinate upgrades, repairs, and compliance inspections with contractors and internal stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce health and safety standards across all maintenance operations.
Maintain documentation for equipment inspections, compliance audits, and maintenance logs.
Budget & Vendor Management
Manage with the assistance of operations Manager the maintenance budget, including parts inventory, service contracts, and capital planning.
Negotiate and oversee contracts with service providers and equipment vendors.
What you will bring:
Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of automated warehouse systems, with direct experience in AutoStore preferred.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, racking, conveyors, forklifts, dock doors, and warehouse safety standards.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Trade certification or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during critical system downtime or project implementations.
Must be comfortable working at heights.
