FOUND Study, a privately-owned provider of student and intern housing offering comfortable rooms and co-living spaces in major cities, including New York, New Jersey, Boston, Providence, San Francisco, and Berkeley with more to come. Facilities are amenity-loaded and in prime locations for the lifestyles of students and interns. They own and operate its own properties and provides third-party management services to higher education institutions and property owners.

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations across two residential buildings in Midtown New York. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills, ensuring our buildings remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents.

What You’ll Do

Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems.
Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, fire codes, and safety regulations (OSHA, DOB, etc.).
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance for elevators, emergency systems, boilers, and cooling towers.
Implement energy management, pest control, and sanitation programs to keep operations efficient and residents comfortable.
Lead and mentor maintenance staff, coordinate with contractors, and ensure all work is completed to high standards.
Track work orders, inspections, budgets, and performance using maintenance management systems.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
Strong knowledge of NYC building codes, safety, and compliance
Experience with mechanical, emergency, and water treatment systems
Organizational skills for scheduling, inventory management, and record-keeping
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff, residents, and external vendors
Ability to problem-solve under pressure and adapt quickly in a fast-paced NYC environment
Budget management experience and familiarity with maintenance software
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar leadership role
Strong technical background in building systems and facility management
Technical certification or degree in a related field preferred
Leadership, organizational, and customer service skills are a must
Ability to work on-site in NYC
