OVERVIEW:
Installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of broadcast equipment and systems at a top-10 market television station duopoly! Provide support of station operations in major station efforts or special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Candidates should have knowledge of IT, HDSDI television systems, and equipment found in a television plant.
• Experience in Avid iNews, Avid interplay, and video compression systems.
• Experience with microwave, satellite, and two-way radio systems.
• Working knowledge of AVID, iNews, communications equipment, robotic camera pedestals, Sony studio cameras, and Sony digital production switchers. Core HD/IP, SMPTE 2110 router knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Bonded Cellular and transcoding platforms.
• Work with vendors and manufacturers to research and address support issues.
• The ability to work independently at times and partnered with other engineering teams is critical.
• The candidate needs a basic understanding of Windows, Linux command line, and Mac OS.
• The candidate should be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite and understanding of CAD software.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a television or cable systems maintenance engineer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. SBE certification is preferred.
• Work schedules are subject to change, must be able to work late hours, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed.
