We are working with our client who are based in Heathrow Airport for mechanical technicians. It will be your primary responsibility to keep airport ground support equipment running, safe and operational. You will be carrying out first fix repairs on various types of plant and general maintenance across the site including daily drive checks, battery top ups, fluid changes etc The role is initially dayshift until trained then moves over to nightshift for an increase in salary in a 4 on – 4 off pattern. Responsibilities Ensure all Preventative works are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with HAL regulations for Airside working. Respond to all breakdowns in the designated time when allocated. Ensure all relevant electronic records are fully completed and accurate including any details and pictures that may assist the workshop. Liaise with the Duty Manager and Workshop colleagues to provide updates on job status and progress where required Comply with Health and Safety Legislation and internal H&S procedures including use of company issued mobile tablets and company mobile phones. Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment is worn where necessary and is in good working order and condition. Ensure company vehicles are used in line with company policies / legal requirements and are kept clean and tidy after use. Undertake vehicle manoeuvring around the workshop or airport as and when required where trained to do so and in conjunction with appropriate licences held. Experience Skilled or Semi-skilled background Experience with ground support, HGV or plant equipment Driving license
