Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to facility maintenance

Maintains facilities and production equipment to ensure it is in safe working order
Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits
Ability to read basic wiring diagrams
Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair and replacement
Sets up new office spaces or cubicles by assembling and moving furniture, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, making name plates, moving and settling up tables and chairs
Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, and patches holes in walls
Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets, sinks or urinals
Fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains
Strong attention to detail
Some work performed on ladders or step stools,
Initiative, Thoroughness and time management skills
Verbal communication regarding facility matters and supply needs to members of Management
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee can be exposed to moving parts and vibration
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
climbing throughout the day
