This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon to Fri 6:00am to 2:00pm /10:00am to 6:00pm alternate weeks.
Glasgow Dental Hospital requires a Maintenance Technician (Fitter) as part of the team to carry out reactive and preventative maintenance within the hospital building.
The post holder will be a time served tradesman. Qualified to HNC/HND level or alternatively be able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience through vocational qualifications as well as previous working history.
While the primary role of the post holder will be to carry out mechanical and plumbing tasks, they will be part of a multi-skilled technical team and will be responsible for the delivery of specialist technical services for a wide range of duties in relation to the maintenance of building services. This includes the installation and maintenance of plumbing and HVAC equipment and systems, dental chairs, etc. It is essential that the post holder accepts a wide range of cross trade duties so as to deliver a high standard of service. The post holder will also participate in an on-call rota to cover emergency situations out with the normal shift hours.
