Pridestaff is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company located in Fontana, CA. This a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.
• Hourly Pay Range: $2+ - $34
• Shift: Monday – Friday, any shift (TBD-client is open to 1st, 2nd or 3rd Shift)
Job Summary: Maintain all current and future plant equipment in “like-new” condition.
Job Duties:
• Schedule repairs, modifications, and new equipment installations based on a time/priority schedule as established by the Plant Manager.
• Utilize and maintain the proper procedures for purchasing and receiving parts and supplies.
• Train and supervise any and all Maintenance Assistants once hired.
• Assign work tasks to any and all Maintenance Assistants once hired.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual capital budget recommendations.
• Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all current and future plant equipment.
• Keep up-to-date on current technology on maintenance related items and procedures.
• Establish and maintain a neat, clean and organized maintenance department.
• Participate on the Safety Committee.
Responsibilities:
• Establish reliable outside contractors that, if necessary, can be utilized in order to complete repairs, modifications, and/or the installation of new equipment.
• Recommend and discuss any changes and/or improvements to any equipment with the Production Superintendent.
• Maintain an adequate spare parts inventory.
• Establish a procedure for the night shift lead person to use, if emergency maintenance would be needed after normal maintenance department hours.
• Responsible for the conduct and performance of any and all maintenance assistants.
Experience desired:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Maintenance technician in manufacturing environment; Paper, paper tube, spiral wound tube product, edge protector, cardboard core or corrugated cardboard manufacturing experience highly desired.
Report to:
Communicate and coordinate all activities with the Plant Manager.
Communicate with the maintenance personnel in other state locations on a regular basis.
