Maintenance Technician

Description

Amazon is seeking for Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) Technicians to join our Brand New Robotics Fulfillment Center (FC) in Kemps Creek.

Please note that this is a full-time hourly role based on day/night shift patterns, including work during weekends.

The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities

Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out, including Lock-out Tag-out.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site e.g. Conveyors and PLCs.
React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue.
Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.

Basic Qualifications

Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering/Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CMMS systems
Experience with sortation machines
Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
Experience with print and apply machines
