POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician performs all general maintenance and repair functions within the approved guidelines and as directed. Individual must have extensive knowledge of all aspects of Maintenance job duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive knowledge of carpentry
Extensive knowledge of drywall
Extensive knowledge of plumbing
Extensive knowledge of electrical
Extensive knowledge of carpet laying
Extensive knowledge of tile work
Extensive knowledge of painting
Extensive knowledge of concrete
Extensive knowledge of HVAC
Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA Standards and internal safety policies and procedures.
Operates company vehicles as required.
Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned.
Supports the Maintenance department as needed and assigned.
Responsible for use and care of tools and equipment.
Must have a valid New Mexico Drivers License
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must have five (5) years experience in Maintenance.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, or balance; stoop kneel crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or
move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work with diversified customers, ability to work independently and under customer demands.
Alertness and careful attention is required to avoid injury to self and/or others. Specific job requirements or physical location of positions allocated.
EQUIPMENT:
Use of all hand tools common to the trades listed above. Use and knowledge of functions of all types of equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Subject to extreme temperatures, conditions and changes. Subject to stressful conditions during peak service hours, periods when employees have not arrived or are out sick. Subject to slips and falls on slippery floors, as well as crowded conditions in a stressful environment.
