Applications are now being sought for Maintenance/Porters/General Hands/Drivers to work in our 4-Star Boutique Hotel and Spa on Mount Buller for the 2026 Ski Season.

The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a 4-5 star hotel/resort. A polite and pleasant manner is essential, along with excellent communication skills, immaculate presentation, and an eye for detail. We require team players who are hardworking, reliable, and physically fit. You must be prepared to work a six-day week during the season and always maintain a sunny disposition.
Hotel Maintenance/Porter/General Hand is responsible for meeting and greeting hotel guests, portering luggage, shovelling snow, attending to basic maintenance of our guest rooms and cleaning and maintaining our pool and spas.
What will I be doing?
As Hotel Maintenance/Porter/General Hand, you are required to work along side all departments of the hotel to deliver and excellent guest experience.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Meeting and Greeting guests
Providing exceptional levels of customer service
Portering Luggage
Attend to basic maintenance of guest rooms
Shovelling Snow
Daily maintenance checks on the swimming pool and spa
Respond to guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure communication meetings are conducted when changing shift
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
What are we looking for?
Hotel Maintenance/Porter/General Handat Breathtaker Hotel and Spa is always working on behalf of our guests and working with other team members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills and values that follow;
Experience in a similar role in a 4-5 star hotel
Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
Basic handyman/carpentry skills
Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Ability to work individually and in a team
This position involves heavy lifting and physical fitness is necessary
Excellent grooming standards
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions;
A trade qualification
Current valid Australian driving licence
Australian resident or must have a current working visa for Australia
Seasonal Work - must be available from June 2026 to the end of September 2026
