REPORTS TO – Director, Food & Beverage
DESCRIPTION:
The Maître D' is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house food and beverage operations within LAGO. This role includes implementing and upholding service quality standards, supervising and directing service staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead front-of-house operations, ensuring a high standard of service at all times.
Supervise and support service staff, providing direction, feedback, and training as needed.
Maintain constant communication with department heads regarding facility events and service requirements.
Organize and lead pre-shift and departmental meetings to share updates and expectations.
Manage scheduling and delegation of duties for service staff.
Interact professionally and positively with guests, addressing concerns promptly.
Demonstrate expertise in food and beverage service etiquette and procedures.
Cultivate a culture of hospitality and team collaboration.
Solve service-related issues efficiently and tactfully.
Motivate and inspire staff to achieve departmental goals.
Uphold a high level of attention to detail to ensure a seamless guest experience.
This position is classified as safety sensitive under our Fit for Duty program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a food & beverage environment.
Proven experience in properties of comparable size and service standard.
Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations, guest service, and restaurant procedures.
Ability to remain composed under pressure and lead with a positive, professional demeanor.
