PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Coordinate and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for business units. Support strategic decision-

making through insightful analysis of cost drivers, KPIs, and financial performance. Design and present reports, build financial models,

and provide performance commentary to enable effective operational and capital planning

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The “WHAT” to be delivered

Function:

Financial Operations and Reporting

Prepare month-end procedures and journals, including ad-hoc entries throughout the month.

Prepare monthly management reports and meet external reporting requirements.

Monitor and analyse financial performance and data, ensuring alignment with internal policies and accounting standards.

Report monthly financial results and performance against budget to business units.

Budgeting, Forecasting and Capital Oversight

Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts aligned with commercial outcomes and regulatory requirements.

Phase budgets to reflect operational timing and strategic funding allocations.

Monitor and advise on financial aspects of the Capital Works and Repairs and Maintenance program.

Business Support and Continuous Improvement

Provide financial advice to support business initiatives, projects, and organisational objectives.

Engage with business units to resolve financial queries and anomalies identified through analysis.

Recommend and implement improvements to financial processes and procedures.

Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships across the business.

Contribute to team meetings, share insights, and facilitate internal training.

Develop and enhance internal processes to support continuous improvement and ensure compliance with accounting standards

and legislation.
