Credit Services is an end-to-end Credit Risk Management Business Service for Operating entities across the HSBC Group in Commercial Banking. It spans across the entire Credit Risk Management Value Chain starting from Preparation and On-boarding of a Credit Application in the Bank’s system and financial spreading followed by Credit Disbursement, Risk Monitoring, Control, Management and Processing Facility Offer Documents
We provide Professional and consistent Credit Risk Management Services, Improve End to End Credit processes and systems, Deliver Service Excellence at competitive cost, contribute towards building Quality Asset portfolio and build domain expertise on Credit Profile. We support Relationship Managers in winning New Businesses and allow RM’s to deepen and strengthen existing relationships. We protect the bank and help the RM’s in managing Risk.
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of "Asst. Manager- Credit Services ",
In this role, you will:
• Individual contributor role leading to stabilizing the end-to-end process.
• Manage and build a strong relationship with Business / Projects / Senior Relationship Managers and onshore Officers through regular dialogue
What you’ll do:
• Complete the Spreading of Financials and Generating CRR, Credit Application and in line with credit and risk management guidelines / policies.
• Strong understanding of Company Financials.
• Undertake quality checking of the work processed by the team to ensure quality preparation of Financial Spreading.
• Reviewing existing internal quality and provide solutions to enhance this within the team
• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service through sharing of best practices and ideas
• Effectively resolve process related queries with regard to Financial Spreading
• Create a supportive work environment driven by people centric values
• Acquire excellent process knowledge to handle escalations, resolve complex queries & complete quality checking as per the PLA
• Manage work for quality and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Usage of MI for business monitoring and improvement
• By actively contributing to the activities & functions of Credit Services and GSC.
Activity
• Achieve and exceed relevant process targets in line with business objectives
• Acquire and update knowledge on the process, procedures and products on an ongoing basis
• Exhibit ownership of the business
• Meet targets on productivity and accuracy as per the targets and metrics defined for the process.
• Instructions/requests to be correctly interpreted, understood and implemented.
• Ensure that the process related procedures are implemented as per the process manuals.
• Ensure that fraud/errors/irregular transactions (if any) are identified and escalated.
• Ensure that the customer issues / problems are effectively investigated and resolved.
• Maintain equipment, systems and general work environment in good condition, adhering to all appropriate procedures.
• All data requirements (iCATS, leave management and adhoc process information) is completed and updated in a timely manner.
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
• Candidate should be commerce graduate
• Good Understanding of Accounting Standards, Key Accounting Ratios and Financial Reporting (E)
• Good understanding of the Commercial/Corporate Credit Lending Cycle and acted in the capacity of Subject Matter Expert (E)
• Ability to speak and understand English fluently as the process requires to interact with customers over a phone.
• Ability to write good quality business letters, emails and reports.
• Ability to understand and interpret numeric data.
• This will be a SME role hence strong knowledge in Credit Service domain with specialization in end-to-end process & good understanding in other service delivery within Credit Service arena is essential. (E)
• Strong understanding of Group and GR Operational Risk Framework (E)
• Flexibility to work shifts.
• Ability to maintain focus while working with voluminous data.
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately.
