Position: MIS Analyst/Manager
Job Summary:
The MIS Analyst/Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's Management Information Systems (MIS) to ensure the availability of accurate and timely information for decision-making and operational efficiency. They work closely with various departments to understand their information needs and develop systems and processes to meet those requirements. The MIS Analyst/Manager also monitors system performance, troubleshoots issues, and implements improvements to enhance system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the organization's Management Information Systems (MIS) to support business operations and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify information requirements and develop strategies for capturing, storing, and retrieving data.
• Design and implement databases, data models, and data structures to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Create and maintain data integration processes, data flows, and interfaces between various systems.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimization measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with technical teams and vendors as necessary.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to provide meaningful insights and analysis to stakeholders.
• Conduct data analysis and interpretation to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate users on system functionality and best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to MIS and recommend innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with IT teams for system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users regarding system usage and issue resolution.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, and data analysis tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and scripting.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and integration concepts.
• Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience in MIS, business intelligence, or data analysis roles is preferred
