We’re excited to be opening a brand-new Kmart store in Westgate, bringing everyday low prices and on-trend products to even more local whānau in the community. Our new store will be a place where customers can enjoy a bright, welcoming shopping experience, and where our team can grow, learn and thrive together. From the shop floor to the back of house, you’ll be part of building something special from day one, helping us create a store our Westgate community will love.
Opening in July 2026, we are ready to find a dynamic team of leaders to bring our brand-new Westgate store to life. Building high-performing teams, creating a positive store culture, and delivering the great value and experience our customers love from day one.
Interviewing for these roles will commence in early April.

What are we looking for:
We have 5 vacancies to fill in our Leadership team for Kmart Westgate. Department Manager - Kids World, Department Manager - Clothing, Department Manager - Overnight (2 vacancies) and Duty Manager.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Experience as a kaiwhakahaere (manager) across either a big box or high-volume retail environment
A passion for delivering results that will inspire and motivate your rōpū (team)
Experience coaching and leading large and diverse teams
Ngā uara (values) that reflect a strong commitment to haumaru (safety), always thinking about the kiritaki (customer), and a belief in encouraging your team to whakatōmene ake (reach higher) every day
The ability to foster strong relationships with team members, peers, customers and leaders
