• Global Manager Selection - Fund & ETFs (GMS) is the designated Centre of Reference in charge of selection, research and approval of all funds and ETFs, which are sold/distributed by various HSBC Group business such as Wealth and Personal Banking Private Banking, and various Insurance entities, across the globe. GMS is a global team, based in London, Hong Kong, and Bangalore, responsible for mutual funds across all the asset classes encompassing Equity, Fixed Income, and Multi-Asset.
The Opportunity:
• The candidate will be part of a global team charged with fund selection for various HSBC Group businesses including Wealth and Personal Banking, Private Banking, and Insurance. The individual will cover specific markets in the scope of a product specialist. She /he will be responsible for creation of high-quality thought leadership materials that will help drive adoption and growth of the product line globally. The candidate will form a key conduit between the research team and the local product teams. The candidate will be expected to have extensive interaction with asset managers. A key requirement for the role will be the ability to analyze the various offerings in the markets and optimize the product shelf in each market.The role will provide an opportunity to collaborate with other product. Therefore, an entrepreneurial approach and willingness to take end-to-end ownership are key, as is the ability to collaborate and communicate with the team members and key stakeholders across the business.
What you’ll do:
The primary responsibilities include:
• Product shelf monitoring
• Understand product life cycle and advice markets to adopt best-in-class approved products.
• Prepare background and groundwork for new fund launches.
• Prepare and disseminate high quality thought leadership material to help drive adoption and growth of the product line globally.
• Engage with various HSBC business lines to understand and manage their requirements for mutual funds.
• Collaborate with local fund specialists with frontline in optimizing fund solutions
