Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Position Objectives
Assistant Manager – Transport & Distribution
Key responsibilities
Equipment Availability
• Ensure proper repair and maintenance of our trailers and put on Road as per operational requirements.
• Make sure taking care of effective utilization of manpower and ensure no breakdown in the enroute.
• Ensure Fc vehicles should plan well in advance and complete maintenance within the time frame.
• Schedule service of our vehicles to be carried out timely and put for operations.
• Monitoring outsourced job work and labour .
• To keep adequate spares for attending breakdown and avoid last minute rush.
Minimizing maintenance Expenses
• To ensure maintenance expenses are minimized.
• Ensure quality of spares with appropriate cost & fitment
• In order to minimize repairs educate drivers about driving skills and basic knowledge of maintenance.
• Try to minimize outside job work.
Documentation
• Capturing Repair and maintenance expenses and maintaining documentation in Oracle application.
• Monitoring fuel filling for all our vehicles and maintaining KMPL fixed.
• Proper maintenance of tyres and ensure the benchmark is fixed for original thread.
• Uploading all maintenance activities in maintenance application.
• All purchases and consumption through inventory and non-inventory should be captured properly as per guidelines.
• should have close co-ordination with the Procurement team and adhere to the process for PR PO and GRN.
Co-ordination with Internal and External Dept
• Co-ordination with all inter dept to ensure smooth operation and fulfilling norms.
• Co-ordination with RTO & Police officials for enroute issues.
Safety
• Ensure Zero serious injuries and Fatality.
• Must educate the technicians about our Safety norms to adhere the same to ensure safe work.
• While appointing new ETV drivers should ensure Safety protocols such as Safety induction, Buddy training and assessment training.
• Should conduct toolbox meeting prior to start the work daily with our Workshop technicians.
• Safety hazards, interaction, Observation should be notified in GHSE portal.
Qualifications & Competencies
• Graduation
• At least 10-15 year experience in related areas supply chain transport.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills.
