About the Role
BOQ Group is seeking a highly skilled and strategic professional to join Group Risk and our Asset Management Group.
In this pivotal role, you will be the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of high-risk and financially stressed business lending borrower groups. You will be responsible for developing, negotiating, and implementing complex workout strategies, securing internal approvals through detailed credit submissions and managing the operational execution of these strategies.
The role involves close collaboration with external consultants such as insolvency accountants, panel lawyers, and valuers, as well as overseeing the appointment of controllers to realise BOQ’s security interests. You will also manage the establishment and variation of loan facilities, ensure accurate data is maintained across all banking systems and complete all required reports and registers. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a results-driven professional with strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
About you
Degree in business/accounting/finance relation discipline (essential).
Previous experience with retail and business lending (essential).
Post graduate studies in business/accounting/finance relation discipline (preferred).
Previous experience in Asset Management, Insolvency or similar (essential).Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem solving and customer service skills.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislations, including but not limited to: Consumer Credit Code, Privacy Act, Corporations Law and Banking Code of Practice.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage challenging borrower communications.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
