Within Technology Services, our five dynamic work units – Data, Architecture & Integration, Cyber Resilience, Digital Delivery & Innovation, Technology Platforms, and Operations & Services – work collaboratively to deliver high-impact solutions across the University.
We’re now seeking a Manager, Business & Systems Development to lead our enterprise systems development capability across the University. This role is pivotal in shaping how we design, build, and enhance applications that support learning, research, student services, administration, and core business functions. Reporting to the Executive Director, Technology Delivery, you will lead capability and development for a team of business and systems analysts and actively influence solution design, delivery practices, and capability uplift across SCU’s evolving technology ecosystem.
You will make an impact by:
Leading, mentoring, and growing a high-performing team of business and systems analysts across enterprise platforms
Driving excellence in business analysis, requirements practice, and solution definition to deliver scalable outcomes
Shaping application development initiatives and ensuring alignment, quality, and consistency across systems and platforms
Building frameworks, standards, and capability for consistent, modern, and user-centred solution design
Partnering with architects, product teams, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into actionable solutions
Enabling innovation, automation, integration, and platform optimization through agile and evidence-based practices

To succeed in this role, you will also need:
Proven experience leading business or systems analysts in complex enterprise application environments
Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, digital platforms, and integration contexts. Knowledge of higher education systems and applications highly regarded
Demonstrated ability to shape solution design, delivery practices, and analysis capability
Expertise in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and solution modelling
Experience in agile and hybrid project / product environments and stakeholder engagement
A collaborative, future-minded approach with a passion for coaching, capability uplift, and continuous improvement
