Roles and Responsibility
Data Management and Privacy
• Support the respective businesses and functions assigned & work closely with the 2nd line compliance and the Information Cyber Security (ICS) & Risk assurance teams to design, implement & operationalise capabilities for CABM Risk Management.
• Collaborate closely with CABM and a team of data management experts to deliver an agreed treatment plan for elevated data management residual risks, and embed good data management risk practices in the CABM Process Universe.
• Partner with the Data and Privacy Transformation Programme to share lessons learnt and best practices for processes with lower data management risks.
• Ensure that these capabilities are operating effectively in BAU to achieve and manage the respective business objectives in this area.
• Provide timely feedback / data to all stakeholders to meet any key regulatory obligations and key business priorities.
• Work with CABM to design, build and/or operate data, records and privacy controls to mitigate risks.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to, data and privacy risk assessments, business process design and assessments, data protection impact assessments, data incident management, awareness and training, verification that proper risk assessments have been completed and up to date for vendors handling personal data, and verify applicable vendor agreements include required privacy and data protection terms according to global policy, client requirements and applicable privacy law.
• Ensure compliance with privacy processes to deliver swift resolution of privacy related issues and incidents
Business
• Partner with Process Owners and Risk Framework owners to maintain the infrastructure and process frameworks to manage risks and the control environment.
• Support the overall business Conduct, Privacy and operational risk & Technology framework
• Promote a culture which understands and evaluates risk and benefits of CABM activities and is aligned with the strategic objectives of the function.
• The candidate will join a function that performs exciting and creating activities, and touches a Marcom industry that is continuously changing. Thus the candidate needs to like learning, understand changes that are being embedded in the function and understand the impact on data management risk practices.
Processes
• Partner with Process Owners and Risk Framework owners to maintain the infrastructure and process frameworks to manage risks and the control environment
• Ensure CABM processes remain up to date, working with process owners and their teams
• Continuously seek to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes and associated controls, working closely with process owners and risk owners
• Drive effective management of risks within the function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations. This includes activities which are carried out by other businesses or functions, or which are hubbed or outsourced.
• Work with risk framework owners and policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them
• Operate within risk tolerance and risk appetite and build a culture of good conduct.
• Implement and manage operational processes which delivers outcome focused & timely service delivery.
• Draft / update policies, guidelines, procedures and documentation as required based on external or internal changes
Governance & Risk Management
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework within relevant processes of the CABM function by partnering with CABM process owners and risk framework owners on process updates and standards.
• Responsible for delivering 'effective governance' through the risk management team, the regional governance teams and in collaboration with process owners and risk framework owners.
• Assist in identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating data management, privacy and record management risks to the Group.
Regulatory and Business Conduct

Our Ideal Candidate
• Extensive experience in a relevant role (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Audit) or experience in a data & privacy domain of a large organisation
• Experience in one of the following Business / Functions will be an added advantage (e.g. Retail Banking; Corporate & Institutional Banking; Wealth Management; Private Banking; Legal; HR; Operations; Risk)
• Good understanding of Information Security Policy, Privacy Policy, Data Management Framework & Records Retention Policy as well as Standards.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to influence and to gain the respect of senior stakeholders and peers
• Drive vision and purpose – to ensure CABM colleagues have a better understanding of data management risks and how to actively manage them.
• Confident and courageous to raise/escalate issues in a pro-active, professional, and timely manner
• University degree with professional certification (such as CIPP, CIA, CISA, CISSP, or CISM) preferred
• Highly motivated individual with a strong track record of achievement
• A good team player
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
