We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Manager, Climate Finance and Reporting, to play a critical part in our climate-related Financed Emissions reporting under the Aotearoa New Zealand Climate Standards (NZ CS).
Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Climate Reporting within the Finance department, The Manager, Climate Finance and Reporting, will support the delivery of Westpac New Zealand's Climate Reporting under the Aotearoa New Zealand Climate Standards.
Your primary role will be the end-to-end calculation and reporting of Financed Emissions, including continuous uplift, disclosures in the Climate Report, internal stakeholder engagement, supporting initiatives to reduce emissions, working with external auditors, and working alongside Westpac Group (based in Australia).
Alongside Financed Emissions, this role will more generally support the production of the Westpac New Zealand's Climate Report as part of the wider Climate Reporting team, including project management and internal governance processes.
This Auckland based role offers a flexible working model with 3-4 days in the office and 1-2 days working from home each week.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
You will bring strong project management skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven ability to engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders. Your analytical mindset enables you to interpret complex data and effectively communicate insights.
Ideally, you will also have experience in calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and be familiar with methodologies for assessing financed emissions.
Knowledge of the GHG Protocol, the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), and Aotearoa New Zealand’s Climate Standards would be highly desirable.
