The objective of this position is to drive business development and corporate affairs efforts for the defence sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Growth: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the defence sector, aligned with corporate goals and government requirements.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification: Monitor trends in the defence industry and identify opportunities for growth through government contracts, partnerships, and tenders.
Proposal Management: Lead the development of proposals, tenders, and bids for government defence contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
Partnership Development: Identify and establish partnerships with key industry players, defence contractors, and government agencies to promote business growth.
Negotiation & Contract Management: Oversee negotiations and management of government contracts, ensuring favourable terms for the company and compliance with defence regulations.
Government Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement:
Government Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between the company and governmental bodies, defence departments, and public sector stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships at all levels with government stakeholders.
Advocacy & Policy Influence: Represent the company in government meetings, defence policy discussions, and public hearings to advocate for business interests and influence policy decisions.
Public Affairs: Manage the company's image and reputation in the defence sector, ensuring alignment with corporate and government expectations.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure the company adheres to all relevant government regulations, defence laws, and compliance requirements.
