Job Description
Assist in the financial analysis, credit risk assessment, risk rating and structuring of facilities for assigned corporate relationships, by working with the Relationship Managers (RMs), meeting the customers, preparing Credit Proposals (CPs) (new, annual renewals and amendments etc.) and liaising with Wholesale Risk Management (WRM) and the Compliance Unit to resolve all queries related to risk and compliance issues, respectively
Key Result Areas
Review with the CIBG Relationship Teams/WRM, deals, facility structures, credit products / services, and provide business solutions which meet business and customer requirements within credit and operational risk guidelines and policies.
Meet clients and parties involved in the deals as and when required for the execution of responsibilities and / or needed by Relationship Team(s) for business purpose.
Quick and timely turnaround of CPs while maintaining quality of analysis.
Monitor borrowing pattern, account conduct of borrowers and provide information at each review, thereby ensuring effective portfolio management and ensuring that the portfolio quality is maintained by highlighting early warning signals.
Independently manage the ‘portfolio’ of the relationships assigned.

During the UM’s absence (leave / training/secondment etc.), step into the role of the UM, and provide the required guidance to the team.
The Incumbent Has To Understand And Abide By
Regulatory & legal framework, banking conventions, agreements and practices.
All Mashreqbank policies, guidelines and manuals (risk, operational, Anti-Money Laundering etc.)

Thorough understanding of Mashreqbank’s policies and procedures in addition to regulatory, operational and compliance requirements.
Clear understanding of business transactions and relationship requirements with close coordination with the relationship team and WRM, without losing focus on risk, regulations and control issues.
Regulatory, operational, compliance and AML requirements would require thorough understanding of local banking practices.

Responsibility to monitor and report portfolio quality, size, mix and ensure adherence to risk / return guidelines.
Monitor, report and recommend actions if risk profiles of a relationship or a specific deal changes.
To comment on the account conduct/ behavior of client.
Provide financial solutions to customer requirements
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Minimum 10-12 years of minimum experience of credit / financial analysis at similar level in banking and / or related field.
Degree in business / economics. A post graduate diploma / Chartered Accountancy or a similar qualification will be considered as an asset.
Local market knowledge and sufficient knowledge of the bank’s products and operating systems.
Excellent command over verbal and written English. Arabic language skill will be an added advantage.
Conversant with banking laws and local regulations.
Good inter-personal skills. Should be a team player and participation experience in variety of banking initiatives and solutions
