Job Description

About Us
Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property finance. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.

We’re now five years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over three quarters of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.

Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte's tech fast 50 2025 and finally; being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Up’s in Australia 2025.

The difference you'll make:
This role is designed for a residential lending expert who is equally comfortable managing high-level credit assessments as they are leading a team, managing multiple states and overseeing operational growth. You will balance technical credit mastery and leadership responsibilities.
What you'll do;
Strategic Credit Leadership
Manage and assess complex residential mortgage applications from submission to settlement, maintaining a high individual lending authority.
Lead the evolution of Bridgit’s credit policies, ensuring our risk frameworks are robust enough to support rapid scaling.
Identify bottlenecks in the credit lifecycle and implement automation or workflow improvements to drive efficiency.
People Operations
Lead and mentor the credit team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Act as the senior point of contact, overseeing local initiatives and general team wellbeing.
Accountable for the team’s output, ensuring all service level agreements are met without compromising credit quality.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a senior escalation point for brokers and partners, resolving complex queries with a solutions-focused mindset.
Work closely with the Executive team to align operations with Bridgit’s national growth strategy.
What you’ll bring:
Deep experience in residential lending across both conforming and non-conforming products.
Advanced financial and credit analysis skills with a sharp eye for identifying and mitigating risk.
The ability to accurately verify supporting documents and make fast, high-quality credit decisions.
Proven experience managing teams and a proactive interest in overseeing office operations as the senior site lead.
A love for process improvement and the ability to identify opportunities for automation and workflow efficiency.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, particularly when managing broker-led channels and internal executive teams.
A collaborative, curious mindset thrives in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
