Job Description:
Manager - Cyber Security - TPRM
The Role
As a Manager with TPRM, you will work with a network of firm leaders and engagement teams to ensure that the activities of their employed entities adhere to guidelines established by the government and other agencies that the firm is required to follow.
This is an internal firm services position that supports member firm of SVB as an organization in complying with various regulatory and professional compliance requirements related to anticorruption and trade regulations.
Work you'll do
• Providing leadership to and supervising a team of more than 5-10 professionals including analysts, senior analysts and managers.
• Architect level resource who is also managing team for 10% of the time
• Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to think critically and exercise professional skepticism.
• Responsible for resource management and key stakeholder management
• Hands-on involvement in the operational tasks of the team
• Leading the development of desk procedures and process documents
• Managing and overseeing work performed by the team
• Responsible for key performance metrics, performance monitoring, and evaluation of team members
• Acting as coach, counselor and mentor for team members
• Support senior management by handling various operational responsibilities within the team and preparing reports
• Lead and execute process improvement initiatives
• Developing subject matter expertise on the Firms' third party risk management policy and related policies as well as providing solutions to complex compliance issues related to such policies
• Providing training on both firm and regulatory policies and internal processes
• Establishing team culture, handling and responding to talent matters, escalating issues for management consideration and input, tracking metrics and providing guidance to team members, implementing initiatives or programs set by US leadership or TPRM leadership
Required:
• Demonstrated initiative, ability to think critically and apply good judgment
• Project Management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and tasks within tight deadlines
• Ability to execute complex tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS office suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to rapid changes and be flexible
• Capability to handle multiple sub-teams with ease
• Skill to groom assistant managers so they can work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred:
• Experience with compliance processes such as third party due diligence, risk assessments, investigations, monitoring and testing or other forensic reviews.
• Prior experience with risk and compliance areas
Qualifications and Experience
• BEh/MCA with relevant team and project management experience may also be considered.
• 10+ years of relevant experience including significant people management responsibility
• Experience with a global professional services firm or working with virtual teams will be an advantage
