Job Description
Essential Duties:
• Assist in project execution in areas of Policy & Regulatory (including Cost of Supply), related to Clean energy, Decarbonization of energy value chain, Electricity Distribution and energy access
• Formulate plans and development of value propositions, technical approaches, strategies, and tools – by leveraging knowledge and insights on power sector issues and policies across Generation, Transmission, Distribution of Conventional and Renewables, Energy Transition, Energy access, , Governance Models of the power sector etc
• Contribute to Market Outlook Study and Market Entry Strategy for new emerging areas in clean technologies
• Develop relationships with existing and potential clients in Private Sector, Central Govt, State Govt., Regulatory Commissions and Utility stakeholders. Help identify/ co-create/ partner with the right knowledge platforms.
• Perform project management role as well, ensuring successful implementation of a portfolio of impactful projects covering a set of issues, policies / strategies/ technical solutions.
• Assist in identifying attractive business opportunities, making bid/no bid decisions in consultation with the reporting manager, developing concept notes, and preparing EOI and proposal response activities.
• Assist in building team as per requirement of energy business.
Minimum Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience or Master's with minimum 8 years of relevant work experience; in similar sectors
• Well versed with Legal, Regulatory & Policy framework, Distribution, Project management, latest clean energy technologies and operational aspects of power & utilities segments
• Demonstrated experience of working with cross-functional teams will be preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
• Expert knowledge of key technical, financial and commercial areas within energy sector.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and understand issues, root causes and opportunities from disparate sets of information and provide clear conclusions and guidance.
• Ability to lead and put together business proposals
• Ability to interact effectively with internal RTI business units, external clients and stakeholders.
• Strong project management, organizational and general "people skills".
• Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Excellent verbal or spoken and written communication skills in English
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to work and manage staff within matrix project and program teams.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to travel for extended periods as needed for client interaction and project delivery.
• Culturally sensitive and respectful.
