About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Platform Auth team. The Auth team is responsible for both internal (e.g. Service-to-service authorization, etc.) and external (e.g. user login, etc) authentication and authorization. The team builds and extends services that are capable of making 1 trillion+ decisions per day. If you are highly technical and enjoy leading and working cross functionally, then this is the role for you. Engineering Management at CrowdStrike is a hands-on role and we expect managers to be laser focused on delivery and creating an engaging environment for our world-class engineers. We operate in a high fidelity, high trust environment and we expect you to collaborate with engineers, product managers, support, and sales engineering teams effectively and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

As an engineering manager, you will help lead a multi disciplinary team (backend, frontend, SDET, etc.) to drive and deliver on both roadmap and technical strategy. CrowdStrike is growing rapidly and you will be instrumental in hiring, retaining, and growing a team of highly talented engineers. We are a remote-first company and expect you to be an effective communicator - excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this role.

What You’ll Need:
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience as an engineering manager and 8+ years as a software engineer
Experience working with authentication and authorization services
Experience in Golang or similar technologies
Experience with shipping high-quality software in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience in building and maintaining large distributed systems at scale
Solid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance
Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and velocity
Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive staff to junior engineers
Ability and desire to be hands on as well as leading the team and collaborating cross functionally

CrowdStrike Canada ULC is committed to equal pay for equal work in its compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in Canada is $150,000 - $225,000 CAD per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
