How will you make an impact in this role?

The Finance Learning & Development Manager is a strategic partner to Finance leadership, responsible for shaping and delivering a comprehensive learning framework through the Finance Academy. This role sets the direction for capability building, leadership development, risk management, regulatory readiness, and data and analytics upskilling across the India/APAC and EMEA Finance Teams.

Strategic Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of L&D Analysts and Learning Administrators, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide clear leadership, performance feedback, and career development support to build a high‑performing team.
• Set strategic directions for learning planning, deployment, and training engagement reporting across the region.

Learning Strategy & Program Ownership
• Design and collaborate with Finance SMEs to deliver end‑to‑end learning strategies aligned to Finance priorities and skill building, including regulatory training, technical Finance capabilities, and future‑ready skills.
• Support the Finance University Program, managing university partnerships across APAC/India and EMEA, identifying trending topics, and overseeing curriculum development.
• Drive the New2Finance onboarding experience, ensuring strong early engagement and role‑ready capability building for new hires.
• Support the annual Finance Training Needs Analysis, including survey design, insights generation, and action planning.

Stakeholder & Business Partnership
• Partner closely with Finance leaders, SMEs, Enterprise L&D, and external Finance Technical thought leaders to co‑create customized, high‑impact learning solutions.
• Serve as the Learning & Development relationship lead for Regional Finance Colleague Council Teams (RFCT), tailoring offerings to regional needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to India/APAC Finance leaders and provide engagement and learning advisory support to EMEA.

Technical, Regulatory & Digital Capability Building
• Collaborate with Finance SMEs to design and deliver innovative Finance Business and technical Finance training programs.
• Lead learning initiatives supporting Data Science and Analytics capability building, including Python, SQL, Hive, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Cloud – Project Rise, and Lumi (BigQuery).
• Oversee learning platform integrations, license strategy, and vendor partnerships (e.g., Oracle, O’Reilly, Pluralsight) to deliver best‑in‑class digital learning experiences.
• Manage high‑risk vendor engagements, including TLM processes and AEMP 18 Processes

Learning Design, Delivery & Measurement
• Apply advanced adult learning principles for Instructional Design projects to design blended, application‑based learning using both waterfall (ADDIE) and agile (SAM) methodologies.
• Lead and manage a team of designers on instructional design projects, leveraging tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and related platforms.
• Design assessments and evaluation strategies to measure learning effectiveness and transfer of learning at 30, 60, and 90‑day intervals.
• Champion GRL Finance completion, driving 100% compliance by transcript due dates.

Engagement
• Drive colleague engagement through networking events, Finance panels, mentoring , and B45+ team‑effectiveness sessions.
• Design learning experiences that resonate across generations by tailoring content and delivery to different learning styles and preferences.

Critical Thinking, Consultation & Project Management
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives with strong planning, prioritization, and execution discipline.
• Exceptional communication decision making skills with the ability to influence and present effectively at all leadership levels.
• Strategic, analytical, and critical thinker with the ability to independently diagnose problems, identify root causes, and drive forward‑looking solutions.
• Proven experience managing external vendors, including research, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, Finance, Program management, or Capability Development roles.
• People leadership or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex programs on scale.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong storytelling and written communication skills.
• Experience with BI and analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI) and data platforms (BigQuery, SQL, Python) a strong plus.
• Familiarity with modern learning technologies and collaboration tools including Lumi, Webex, Slack, Copilot/ChatGPT, OneDrive, OneNote, Planner, Whiteboard, Mural, and Qualtrics.
