The Opportunity:
We're looking for a highly organized Manager, Graphic Design (India) to join our Creative team. As a senior member of the team, you'll be responsible for design/video production of branded marketing materials that will propel us further on our journey to educate the world. You will manage a team of designers, and work closely with other design/video team members to produce world class creative solutions that meet our company's goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and mentor a team of creative professionals including creative briefings, design reviews, weekly syncs, 1:1s, KPIs and quarterly reviews
• Act as a subject-matter expert when collaborating with cross-functional teams within ApplyBoard to deliver on-brand creative solutions
• Review project requests and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure creative briefs are complete and effectively communicate clear goals and design directions for each project.
• Oversee the development of all project requests through the Design team's intake and Workload Management System in Airtable and take ownership of design production schedules
• Conceptualize and develop hands-on design solutions as a lead designer while working within our primary design workspace—Figma
• Work closely with members of the Video Team, to provide multimedia support on projects and initiatives including writing compelling scripts that drive desired outcomes
• Arrange freelancers and manage on-the-ground video and photo shoots in India
• Provide on ground support and design leadership during our major TRW Event in India
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that they are delivered on time
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Design Services in setting goals and milestones for team growth and improving the quality of all creative content at ApplyBoard
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Video, or related field
• 7+ years related experience as a Lead Designer (Ed tech industry experience preferred).
• 2+ years experience managing a team of designers (Design studio/agency experience preferred).
• Strong leadership and project management skills with a proven track record of delivering quality projects in a timely manner
• Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite for design and multimedia production
• Demonstrated experience in videography, photography, script writing, and post-production
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of print and digital production processes
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• A working knowledge of Airtable (WMS) is an asset.
