Job Description
The mission of the IT Foundations Administrative Department is to deliver, run and upgrade shared platforms and solutions that enable all IT and business partners to provide members and clients with high-value services, in a fast and agile manner. Our team is made up of more than 300 people specializing in software development, testing, agile project management, product management, software architecture and platform administration. Within this administrative department, the Foundations, Service and Event Integration and Incubator Department is responsible for a number of cross-sector platforms offering high-volume event streaming and integration capabilities. As a cross-sector team, we work with all application development projects at Desjardins to offer them modern, high-performance platforms that meet their needs. More specifically, you will be required to:
Act as a transformation leader for your team of nearly 70 people and for the entire organization by developing a vision of your department’s services, and convey and implement this vision with your peers and team
Set up and manage multidisciplinary teams that take responsibility for all activities in your department in DevOps mode: new capabilities, improvements, maintenance, application support, operational support for production, rollouts, proactive tracking, etc.
Fully understand total cost of ownership (TCO) and business value delivered, and communicate them clearly to contributors
Actively manage and ensure compliance with the department's project and operating budgets
Implement and execute innovative strategies to improve your teams’ DevOps maturity and organizational agility
Work closely with the other IT divisions that use your department’s services for their projects and operational activities
Coach the leaders in your organization.
