Manager, Litigation Counsel

What this job involves:
The selected candidates will work on the following:
• Log-in / tracking / updating litigation matters in Case Management Tool
• Collection and preservation of evidence and other information that may be relevant for effective resolution of cases
• Address bad debts , significant litigations involve criminal defense and regulatory enforcement
• Assist in coordination & strategy discussions with business stakeholders on PAN India basis for new matters, cost impact, coordinating with external counsels, drafting, reviewing notices, affidavits, reply to notices, court documents
• Attending suits and recovery proceedings before law tribunals, Magistrate or session court including NCLT and police
• Conducting knowledge sessions for business units, particularly wrt Legal and litigation matters
• Offering such other support as may be required by the legal and compliance team of the organization.
• Manage deadlines for both internal and external clients.
• Must be willing to travel domestically as per business needs.
Sound like you? To apply you need to be:
• 5+ years of PQE experience post LL. B/JD & admitted to practice Law in India.
• Awareness and understanding of corporate laws, commercial transactions, regulatory and litigation related to Real Estate industry.
• Knowledge and experience with special reference to IBC Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure, and police matters
• Impressive Knowledge of English and good oral/written communication skills.
• Should have led a prior experience in a litigation firm in India or a MNC legal department.
• Sound grasps of basic legal knowledge and concepts.
• Reading and interpreting Legislation/Statutes/Regulations under various Legislations.
• Speed in responding to queries.
• Well conversant with basic IT tools and software (MS Office).
• Aptitude for smart work with challenging work with ability to interact with business leaders and domain experts.
• Good research skills.
• Adaptable and willingness to learn and seek guidance to resolve business situations/circumstances.
• Excellent communication skills (written & spoken).
• Punctuality, pleasant disposition, and collaborator.
• Go getter with sincerity, honesty, integrity, and cheerful outlook.
