The opportunity:
The Management Reporting & Insights team are responsible for driving performance management, strategic insight, and decision-making across AIA Australia by delivering high-quality reporting, actionable insights, and proactive business partnering.
As the Manager, Management Reporting, you will deliver high-quality financial reports by collaborating with subject matter experts to explain budget and target variances. In this exiting role, you will also drive process improvements and reporting efficiencies across the Management Reporting team, Finance, and Group Office.
This is a permanent role based in our Melbourne office.
To do this successfully you will:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, half year and year end deliverables for a wide range of stakeholders
Apply business acumen to identify and investigate discrepancies to articulate business and operational drivers behind results to senior stakeholders
Identify and implement efficiency opportunities to automate existing Management Reporting processes, including driving the use of Copilot and working with Data team to build of Management Reporting Dashboards
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting locally and at Group level
Work closely with the Senior Manager Management Reporting and Insights and senior Finance team members, to collate Committee and Board papers for review by the CFO and submission to the Company Secretary
Work closely with the Strategy and Financial Control team to lead competitor analysis and share and present insights back to business
Support the annual strategic planning / budgeting process.
Successful applications will demonstrate:
Financial accountant (CA/CPA qualified) or actuary (qualified actuary preferred), preferably in financial services industry
Experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or a similar role
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial data and trends
Strong and proactive stakeholder engagement and management skills, including working with subject matter experts
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement efficiency improvements
Experience with AI and automation tools (e.g. Power BI, CoPilot) and working with data teams to build dashboards
