About the role
The Manager Ministerial, Parliamentary and Board Services leads the coordination and delivery of ministerial, parliamentary and board-related work for Destination NSW. The role is responsible for managing a wide range of requests and documentation, including briefing notes, ministerial correspondence Questions on Notice, Budget Estimates material, submissions to parliamentary committees, and government reporting. Working across the organisation, the role ensures that information provided to the Minister, Parliament and the Destination NSW Board and Executive Team is accurate, timely and clearly presented.
This role also provides advice and support to staff on ministerial, parliamentary and board protocols, helping to ensure the organisation meets its obligations and responds effectively to requests. The Manager works closely with teams across Destination NSW and with other government agencies to gather and interpret information, identify emerging issues and prepare high-quality briefings and advice. The position also contributes to improving internal processes and systems to ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard and provides support to the Destination NSW Board.

About You
You have a strong understanding of how government works, including parliamentary and Cabinet processes, and experience supporting ministerial offices. You are confident preparing high-quality written material such as briefing notes, correspondence and parliamentary documentation, and you take pride in producing work that is clear, accurate and well considered. With excellent attention to detail, you are comfortable reviewing and refining complex information and turning it into concise advice for senior leaders.
You are organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. As this is a small and busy team, you are a self-starter who can quickly pick things up and provide support where it is needed. You build strong working relationships across an organisation, keep across emerging or sensitive issues, and provide practical advice to colleagues when required. Experience supporting boards or committees, managing key tasks across the year such as Budget Estimates preparation, and familiarity with tools such as Monday.com would be highly regarded.
