Job Description
The engineering manager is responsible for design of tubular transmission structures for the India and export markets. In addition, the position provides direction and training for all pole engineers in company on the following tasks:
•Providing technical support to sales and visit customer with sales for technical presentation, should be willing to travel 8-10 days in a month.
•Understanding and interpreting tender specifications of transmission line and utility structures.
•Proper understanding & hands on experience of Lattice & Pole Loading as well as Design as applicable using IS, EN, ASTM, ISO, ANZ, ASCE & IEC Codes & Standards.
•Performing electrical clearance diagrams, sag tension calculations, sag curve template preparation, profile drawing preparation, load calculations, and spotting calculations.
•Performing structural analysis and design for quotes and orders.
•Hands on experience of various foundation analysis and designs like, Isolate, Pier, Step, Regula Pile, Micro Pile, etc. but not limited to this.
•Cost estimation.
•Providing drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by designers/drafters.
•Reviewing shop drawings.
•Inspecting prototype structures or parts for testing.
Providing technical leadership for developing the steel pole markets through participation in professional organizations, code committees, and technical presentations.
Requirement profile: (Qualification, no of yrs. exp)
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Experience: 12-15 years, min. 3 years of tubular steel support structures for transmission line
