Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Database Specialist on HP NonStop System to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in NonStop environments, with a strong command of database systems, replication technologies, and business-critical applications.
This role requires a proactive problem-solver who thrives in challenging environments and is committed to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement, and maintain SQL/MX, SQL/MP, and Enscribe databases
• Manage and support data replication using GoldenGate (GG), Shadowbase, and RDF (Replication Data Facility).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance business applications, including Remote Banking, ATM, POS, DCC, and FX systems.
• Develop and maintain scripts and utilities using TAL and TACL.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and ensure high availability and performance of HP NonStop systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during off-hours as needed.
• Contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with HP NonStop systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL/MX, SQL/MP, and Enscribe databases.
• Proficiency in GoldenGate (GG) and experience with Shadowbase.
• Solid understanding of RDF (Replication Data Facility).
• Familiarity with financial and business applications such as Remote Banking, ATM, POS, DCC, and FX.
• Strong scripting skills in TAL and TACL.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry
• Experience in financial services or payment processing environments.
• Certifications related to HP NonStop systems or database technologies.
