As a Manager of Software Engineering in Consumer & Community banking in Home Lending team, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities:
Hands-on Candidate. Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. A minimum of 14+ years of Hands- on experience on architecting and building distributed large scale systems. Start- up experience and e xperience in UI/UX (React JS, Angular or equivalent), Web Technologies (JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, JSON, REST, SOAP) is a plus for this role.
As a Engineering Lead, Candidate will be expected to be an accomplished practitioner with Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Amazon Web Services. Provide a detailed understanding of cloud infrastructure services and well-architected principles. Cloud related certifications (e.g., AWS, Google, Azure, etc.)
In depth knowledge on Domain Driven Design, Micro services and Cloud design patterns.
Knowledge on java/j2ee technologies, AWS services, Kafka ,No-SQL related DB's Cassandra , Mongo DB etc is mandatory.
Possess significant breadth across other disciplines (e.g., enterprise security architecture, compute services, storage, large-scale networking, virtualization, data center, integration architecture (API), orchestration technologies, systems resiliency, service support, application development lifecycle management (DevOps), and service delivery)
Advise on the refactoring and design of preexisting software to help increase its cloud relevancy
Proven experience in assessing, refactoring and identifying opportunity for existing applications to take advantage of modern application architectures (e.g. microservices, containers)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Proven experience with cloud software, platforms and/or infrastructures as an architect
Experience with the assessment, implementation, management and documentation of a broad set of information technologies and processes (e.g., resiliency, application scaling, application security, data protection, encryption, governance and discipline) within a cloud environment
Experience designing cloud ready solutions, including creating artifacts, models, and strategy presentations
Experience in application assessment to determine best fit and opportunity for leveraging cloud services and establishing and managing a cloud migration/adoption pipeline
Solid understanding of the end-to-end information technology (IT) process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations
Project management experience including managing teams, influencing decision-making outside of immediate span of control, and accomplishing key objectives and results
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Ability to coach and mentor. Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
Sound understanding of Scaling framework such as Less and various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP
Leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and more to serve the team(s)
