Job Description
KPMG is on the lookout for a skilled professional to take on the role of Manager in our Trade and Customs practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consult with clients from various industries, offering expert guidance on trade and customs compliance.
• Lead client projects that focus on import/export classifications, audits, program development, and training.
• Engage in market development and thought leadership initiatives, including writing informative articles.
• Conduct research and generate written advice on a wide range of trade topics.
• Oversee project engagements, including team assembly and the management of all engagement responsibilities.
• Support the career development and training of team members.
• Uphold KPMG's values of integrity, professionalism, and personal accountability to foster a respectful work environment.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of five years of relevant consulting experience in trade compliance, such as 19 CFR, EAR, and ITAR, including a solid understanding of tariff classification and customs valuation.
• A JD / LLM is preferred, along with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited institution or at least 20 years of related experience; relevant certifications are required.
• Deep expertise in U.S. import and export control regulations, capable of providing practical and operational solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in writing and presenting information clearly. Experience with data analytics is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
