We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Operations
Our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) customers have many financial needs in their life. HSBC helps them to meet these needs and WPB Operations makes it all happen. We provide a customer-centric banking experience across our retail products with the aim to make every transaction as seamless and intuitive as possible.

WPB Operations is the largest business service within Operations, employing more than 10,500 colleagues in 3+ countries and territories. From cards and loan processing, account services and ATM operations to evaluating credit risks, deciding on mortgage approvals and delivering customer correspondence, the team provides a customer-centric experience across all areas of banking.
Responsibilities:
Managing operational contingency requirements on an ongoing basis.
Strategic planning
By managing, setting objectives, developing and motivating the management team and ensuring that people management techniques are effectively employed for all staff within the GSC.
To keep abreast of the ongoing business scenario as skill sets become redundant at the host country. Keeping the contingency requirements continually updated in terms of strategic changes on account of migration growth plans in conjunction with core BCP team. The management team to be involved in half yearly walkthrough and “warm site” testing as required.
To determine/have a plan on where the direction of the business is going to be in the coming years. Must determine how to reach the planned goals and also to determine whether the goal has been achieved or not. The coherent plan for the future of the GSC must agree with GSCGHQ.
To implement Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant compliance department. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply within (Country Name) and in relation to the countries migrating work to the assigned GSC
To maintain HSBC internal and external control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
By addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.
By adhering to the Group’s agreed processes / procedures – achieving a satisfactory Audit report.
Requirements
Qualifications
At least 7 years’ experience in management position
Strong management skills to handle complex / a wide range of Operational activity
Ability to manage resources of the unit and structure in the most effective way to achieve efficient cost/service levels.
Exceptional leadership skills
Essential Knowledge of Wealth Operations
Ability to work with people across multiple functions
Strategic thinker
Excellent understanding of HSBC Group systems and procedures
Strong implementation skills.
Strong stakeholder management
