Contribute to the delivery of payment services to the Australian Government
Manage a portfolio of payments products end-to-end, including accountability for New Payments Platform (NPP) and Bulk Electronic Clearing System (BECS) payments products

About the business/role/team

Banking Department is part of the Business Services Group and provides banking services to the Australian Government and overseas central banks. The role sits within the Product, Risk and Analytics section comprising two other product managers as well as a Line 1 risk and compliance function. We are a highly customer-centric team delivering exceptional customer experience when it matters and make considered decisions in payments transformation

About the role
The key responsibilities of the role include:
End-to-end product management accountability including for NPP and BECS products and services
Managing product pricing support, analysis and making recommendations
Understanding and representing the voice of the customer
Collaborative engagement with diverse internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective product lifecycle management, including roll out, enhancement and sunsetting
Articulating requirements and communicating business and customer value
Proactively identify, understand and manage risks relating to the products and implementing controls where required.
Industry research and analysis

About you
Proven experience in end-to-end product management, especially within financial services
Be able to lead and develop a team
Be able to use data to provide insights and drive strategic decision-making
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including with external vendors
Possess business acumen and critical thinking mindset with proven complex problem solving skills
Excellent planning and time management skills with the ability to deal with competing priorities
Have a risk mindset
