The Opportunity:
The jobholder plays a significant role in advising and communicating with managers to support successful delivery of P&R projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the Global guidelines, the HR policies. The jobholder works closely with the Group/ Global/ Country HR teams to provide advice and implement P&R policies across HSBC.
This covers a range of P&R activities including reward, performance management, executive compensation, deferred reward, global mobility, employee benefits and wellbeing to support the Bank’s strategic objectives and business priorities.
Job holder will be responsible for advising managers and employees on Performance and reward policy and process. Develop clear and concise communications which are easy to understand. Deliver Reporting, Analytics and Insights on the full range of P&R activities, as well as case management, system administration and audit. This includes providing comprehensive analytic support to key P&R activities including reward, performance management, executive compensation, deferred reward, employee benefits and wellbeing to support the Bank’s strategic objectives and local business priorities.
What you’ll do:
The purpose of this role is to support the Country/Regional/ Global Performance and Reward team with:
Planning, monitoring and reporting on progress for the annual performance and pay review
Administration of the Group Performance and Reward governance framework and architecture
Co-ordination, administration, and documentation related to pay practices across HSBC
Interaction with country and regional teams to support in designing and delivering new Performance and Reward products and services
Acquire broad understanding of how Performance Management and Reward are delivered across HSBC Group
Support the delivery of the P&R products and services and help in producing KPIs, risk dashboards and operational metrics to report on progress. Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and customer service.
Ensure data maintenance and accuracy of databases, according to the Group Performance and Reward architecture
Prepare materials for presentation to senior management and handle process related queries
Manage cases raised via the HR case management platform, providing accurate and timely responses to business/HR stakeholders
Ensure that the Global/ Regional/Country Performance and Reward teams are receiving appropriate support from the team
Build professional relationships with colleagues in Business area, across countries, regions and global teams
Exhibit ownership of the business
Facilitate continuous improvement through the identification, implementation & sharing of best practice in conjunction with peers & the line management
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, related field or equivalent experience as well as a minimum of four years proven Human Resources or Financial Analysis experience or equivalent
2-4 years of required and demonstrated HR experience/ responsibility in managing Rewards and Benefits in one or more of the countries in which the GSC’s/TC’s are located
Well-developed, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills essential
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages to include the following:
MS Excel – utilize advanced formulas and develop graphs
MS Word – use of tables
MS PowerPoint – familiarity with designing, presentation, use of tables, images etc.
Familiarity with Successfactor will be a plus
Strong understanding of the HR database and available analytical reports
High regard for confidentiality and discretion
Ability to perform in high-pressure environment should be effective in a flexible work environment
What additional skills will be good to have?
Exposure in working with multi-countries based teams
Ability to work well independently in a high volume environment
Relationship Management; ability to navigate through complex, matrix organizations
Strong consulting, research, customer service, problem-solving and organizational skills.
